The All About Me Tag

I've seen this Tag a few times on people's Youtube channels so I have decided to give it a go myself on my blog.

I love doing these type of posts!

There's 24 questions for me to answer and hopefully you'll learn something new about me!

1.Do you have a middle name?
Yes! As the header of my blog suggests. My middle name is 'Zetta'. I'm named after my Great Grandmother and that was her First Name.

2. What was your favourite subject in school?
During primary school I really enjoyed Art as it enabled me to be creative. However during High School my favourite lesson was probably Dance or English.

3. What's your favourite drink?
Quite honestly day to day I only really drink water so I can't think of a favourite drink. I do quite enjoy Cranberry Juice though or if I'm being really naughty on the sugar scale then I'd have to say Raspberry Ribena! Rock n Roll ;)

4. Favourite song at the moment?
I love love loveeeee 'Chandelier' by Sia. The video is amazing too. Another favourite of mine at the moment is 'Problem' By Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea.

5. What would you name your children?
I can 100% say I don't know. I think until I have them I won't be able to decide.

6. Do you participate in any sports?
No. Sport is not really my thing!

7. Favourite Book?
I don't think I have an absolute favourite. Although a few months ago I read 'Paper Towns' by John Green and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think it's actually my favourite from him.

8. Favourite Colour?
I love pink but that seems very stereotypical for a make up loving beauty blogger. I also really love baby blue and pastel yellow!

9. Favourite Animal?

10. Favourite perfume?
I'm still loving 'Rogue' by Rihanna

11. Favourite holiday?
In 2005 I went to Florida with all my family. We had two whole weeks of the whole Disney experience and I LOVED it. Desperately wish we could all go back there together!

12. Have you graduated High School?
Yes. I'm 23 now! I left school when I was 16!

13. Have you been out of the Country?

14. Do you speak any other Languages?
No. I really wish I had carried on with French and Spanish in school though as I'd love to be able to.

15. Do you have any siblings?
I have two brothers. One older (25) and one younger (20). I'm piggy in the middle.

16. What's your favourite store?
My 'go to' store that I know I will always find something in is probably New Look.

17. Favourite Restaurant?
Hmmm. This is tough. One of my favourites that my friends and I often go to though is a local Italian restaurant called 'The Spaghetti House'.

18. Do you like school?
I left a long time ago now but I didn't really enjoy school no :(

19. Favourite YouTubers?
As you have probably seen on here before. I really love Hannah Maggs, Lauren Curtis and Melanie Murphy. I have recently been enjoying Gabs from Velvetghost too!

Oooh I have a few. I love Friends with Benefits, White Chicks, We're the Millers and a load of Disney Animations too!

21. Favourite Tv show?
I don't watch huge amounts of TV. However I do love Netflix and I have become completely OBSESSED with Orange Is The New Black. I binged watched both seasons in about 4 days and I'm gutted that I have to wait until 2015 for season 3!

22. Laptop or Desktop?

23. What phone do you have?
I've just upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S5 after having iPhones for the past 5 years and I am loving it so far!

My Makeup Brush Bargain - Japonesque Salon Collection Review.

Have I ever mentioned on here that I'm a HUGE Tk Maxx fan?

I know a lot of people either love it or hate it. I personally love it.
I'm forever finding bargains in there, beauty products, clothes and home decor.
I shop for Birthdays, Christmas and events in there and it never disappoints.

Well last weekend I was having a nosey around my local Tk Maxx and I came across this brush set by Japonesque.

There first thing to draw me in was the design of the brushes. White and silver with a cute ditsy flower print!

The second thing that drew me in was the name. Japonesque are a brand of Makeup Brushes that I have always wanted to try, but never splashed the cash on.

The third thing to draw me in was the price....£12.99! I couldn't believe it, £12.99 for five Japonesque Salon Collection Brushes. That did it for me. Winner.

Granted these brushes are from a past season collection. This doesn't matter to me. The quality of the brushes is just the same and I personally love the design.

You get five brushes in the set -
  1. A Powder brush.
  2. An Eye Shadow Brush.
  3. A Lip Brush.
  4. A Smudger Brush.
  5. A Lash and Brow Comb.

I've been after a couple of new eye brushes anyway so this worked out well.

They come in a lovely lilac, leather tub which I'm sure will look great on my dressing table.

These brushes feel amazing. They are SO soft!
I've been using the brushes for a week now and so far I'm very impressed. They don't shed (so far) and they apply like a dream for eye shadow.
I haven't used the lip brush as of yet but the Powder brush applies just as good as the eye brushes too. I tend to use this mostly for blush.

The only real negative I can say is that they are white so they show a lot of dirt. Not too much of a bad thing as I clean all my brushes once a week anyway!

Whilst I was in Tk Maxx I also noticed they had some Japonesque Travel Brush Sets for only £5.99 so I would definitely recommend getting to your local store once in a while and seeing what they have to offer!

June Beauty Favourites

A month of lovely beauty favourites!

  1. MAC Cremesheen Glass in 'Boy Bait' - I've been loving a nude lip at the moment and this shade is perfect for it. A lovely formula as always from MAC too!
  2. Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan (Medium) - This is a product I've been using for a few years now. Not sure why I've never featured it before. I'm loving using it before nights out at the moment as I'm not one for using an over night or developing tan. This goes on so well and is incredibly easy to blend meaning I get no streaks. I love the colour and love that it's so easy to wash off once you're done with it!
  3. GOSH Lipstick in '134 Darling' - Another product that I have used for years. I have been through about 5 of these! As I'm loving a nude lip at the moment I tend to pair this with the MAC lip glass and they go so well together!
  4. Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream - After discovering that my horrendous break outs were actually being caused by my Clinique moisturiser I decided to take it back to basics and try out Nivea (on my mum's recommendation). This cost me 99p and it has honestly saved my skin!
  5. Max Factor Nail Varnish in 'Diva Coral' - One of the most perfect summer nail shades in my opinion! An amazing formula which dries really quick too!
  6. Maybelline Mega Plush Volume Mascara - I've been loving this mascara for a while now. It gives really full looking and thick lashes which I love. Great for anyone who loves the look of false lashes without having to wear them!
Leave your blog links below if you have done a June favourites. I'd love to see what everyone else has been enjoying!

A Fun Weekend!

This weekend my boyfriend and I headed to Morecambe (about 20 minutes away from us) and had a nosey around the Catch The Wind, Kite Festival. Morecambe is our nearest little seaside town!

It isn't my usual choice of activity for the weekend, but the sun was shining and quite honestly we didn't have much to do.

Long story short, we ended up having a great day. Morecambe was really busy but there was a nice atmosphere. There were loads of things to see (mainly kites), live music, deck chairs, cute little food and craft stalls and circus performances!

We even found ourselves witnessing a sinking sand incident/rescue by the coastguard. Initially quite scary....turned humorous when we realised all the boy was worried about was the fact he had lost his trainers to the sands!

The weather was amazing. Much hotter than we had anticipated and dressed for and Joe ended up with sun burn. Not good!

I'd really recommend everyone checking out some local events that are happening around your local towns for a bit of something different to do when you're stuck for ideas.

It worked out great for us this weekend and maybe it would for you too!

 Oooh sneaky photo of Joe!

I hope you've all really enjoyed your weekend as much as I have!

WantFeed - First Impressions/Review

As you all know, if you have read my past posts about youtube channels that I love, you'll be aware that I'm kind of obsessed with a certain Hannah Maggs.

Not just her though. I love her channel, her vlogs, her family...everything.
Her weekly vlogs are absolutely stunning they really are amazing you should definitely check them out if you haven't already. You can find their channel here.

Anyway, on to The Wantfeed.

Hannah's husband Stefan has recently launched his new Social Wishlist Platform called 'Wantfeed'.

altea app store button

First off, what a great idea. I don't know about anyone else, but there will often be a time where I am browsing online and see something I want. If I can't afford to buy it at the time I usually will screen shot it, so that I don't forget about it once pay day comes around.

Trouble is, when pay day does arrive, I usually forget to look through my screen shots.

Wantfeed is a great way of storing all the things you really want in one place.

Do you ever get asked by friends or family 'What do you want for your Birthday or Christmas?'. I do! I usually follow it up with a 'oh anything, I'm not really fussy'. When actually there's usually a few things I could think of I'm just too shy to fess up!

With Wantfeed you can just send them your profile link and there's a ready made list.

You can literally put anything you like on there. You simply paste the URL of something you want and it will be instantly added to your Wantfeed. All you need to do is enter a few tiny details such as the title and the price.

The website is fresh and exciting and also really professional. It is SO simple to use and signing up is a doddle. You can follow all your friends on there and other people too. You'll never be stuck for something to get someone again as long as they're on Wantfeed.

At the moment it's just the beta version that's available but the real deal will be launching and up and running soon!

Over all I think Stefan has done a fantastic job on this website. 10/10!

I've added a few things to mine already. You can check out mine here

Leave me your links or let me know if you have checked it out yet!

Can you be happy for 100 days in a row?

I'm certainly going to try!

I've decided to take part in the #100HappyDays challenge over on my instagram account.
Simply a photo a day that made you happy!

I'm hoping it will make me appreciate each day that little bit more.

After all, no matter how bad of a day you have had and how many awful things may have happened, there will almost certainly have been something good too. Maybe you noticed a rainbow on the way home from work, or you saw an elderly couple walking together holding hands, or maybe, just maybe you had some ice cream!

I challenge you all to take part too! You can find my instagram account here!

Asda Dry Shampoo Review

Hello lovely ladies (and men if you're reading)
I'm back with a quick review today.

Last week on the way home from my gym class, I stopped in at Asda as I needed some dry shampoo!
When it comes to dry shampoo I am very loyal to Batiste. I have tried all kinds of cheaper and more expensive alternatives but Batiste always comes out on top for me.

I noticed however, that Asda had brought out their own range, and If I'm honest it was the packaging that drew me in to begin with. .
I believe they released this a few months ago, possibly even in 2013, however my local Asda have only just begun to stock it.

So, how was it?
Well quite honestly I would describe it as being 'good'. Not brilliant but not awful. It smells lovely much nicer than the Batiste Tropical version in my opinion. It doesn't leave all the white marks in your hair like Batiste does which is a plus point.

It did seem to keep the greasy hair look at bay for a little while but to be honest I didn't think it lasted very well and by the end of the day my hair felt really heavy and gritty with it all.

I think for £1 a bottle you can't go wrong and it's a great buy for students and people on a very low budget. However for £2 extra I think I will definitely be sticking with my trusty Batiste!

Bank Holiday Fun in Blackpool!

I love Bank Holiday Monday's because they're one of the only days where my boyfriend and me are both off work.

Yesterday we decided to make the most of it and head to Blackpool to do all the typical tourist stuff you do while you're there. We walked along the beach, went down central pier, had Ice cream and spent our 2ps in Coral Island on the slot machines!

I LOVED it. I have this love/hate relationship with Blackpool. Parts of it are so awful but you can't help but really enjoy being there at the same time. I love all the retro shops and signs on the pier, the rows of stores all selling the same things (usually rock and cheap teddies), and let's not forget the tower and the Donkeys!

I hope you all enjoyed your Bank Holiday too!

Current Shower Favourites!

Ok, so the winter months have dwindled away along with evenings soaking in a bubble bath.

I thought I'd share three of my favourite shower products at the moment with you!

1. Soap&Glory Scrub of your life - I'm not usually a fan of body scrubs as even with moisturising they usually leave my skin really dry and worse than it was to begin with. I love this Soap&Glory one though. It feels really luxurious and even lathers really well in the shower. My skin feels so much softer after using this, even without a body butter. Although, I have to admit I usually pair it with the Soap&Glory Butter Yourself moisturising lotion.
2. Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo - A few weeks ago I picked this up in Asda without looking. I was rushing around and needed a new shampoo. I saw this on offer on the end of the aisle so decided to just throw it in my basket. This shampoo leaves my hair smelling amazing and I have also found that I'm going longer between hair washes after using this as my hair doesn't get greasy as quickly. I'm already on to my second bottle. A big thumbs up from me!

3.Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment - I have seen this product on a lot of blogs. I have always been quite sceptical as I have read mixed reviews about it. In my honest opinion, in the five weeks I have been using it I haven't notice my hair grow any more than usual. However, after using this my hair is sooooo soft and smells lovely with a lingering scent! It leaves the ends of my hair looking great so I figure it's at least doing some good by preventing the ends breaking off!

Dare I mention the W word?

Ok so, if you live in England (the north in particular) or you know someone who does. Then you probably know that our weather isn't all great.

It's pretty much always cold...except from maybe an odd day in the summer, and it's usually raining too.

I don't want to jinx this great weather we have been having but seriously...I need to acknowledge it!
This is rare. Especially in May, to have weather this beautiful and temperatures this warm!

I've been making the most of the heat and sunshine. Walks in the park, down by the river with the dogs. Wearing only a thin cardigan and sometimes even a 't shirt'(unheard of in Spring for me)!

Everyone make the most of it, because I don't think it will last!

Silent Sunday

I'm not quite sure where this originated but I have now seen it on a few people's blogs! As this is my first one it's not so 'silent' but here we go.

Silent Sunday. No words just one picture!

Well, there's a first time for everything, and this is my first Lush haul on my blog!

I recently bought a few bits and pieces in Lush and was also given some as a get well soon present from my neighbour so I thought I would share with you all!

Warning, this could get quite picture heavy, I will apologise now!

First up...'Tutti Fruity Gift Set' (£8,25). I received this set from my neighbours as a get well soon present. It contains Happy Hippy shower gel which is one of my favourites for morning showers, and the much loved Miranda Soap!

Next up is 'Bunch of Carrots'. A Lovely little set of Easter themed bubble bars which look just like carrots and smell amazing. I thought these were THE CUTEST thing ever. A bit more pricey at £5.95 but you do get three! I can't wait to use these!

This bath ballistic is the 'Secret Garden Bath Ballistic' (£2.95). I believe this is one which was brought out for Mothers Day. It's a smaller one but is so sweet. I thought this one looked and smelt beautiful in the shop and well...when it comes to lush, that's good enough reason to buy it for me!

The amazing 'Ceridwens Cauldron' (£4.25). This is a bath melt that I buy regularly. I love using it on a Sunday evening. Very relaxing!

Finally...'Ickle Baby Bot'. In the amount of years that I have loved lush I cannot believe I have never purchased this. It's one of the standard Lush products and probably the cheapest. Anyway, I finally got round to it and can't wait to see how it is! 'Ickle Baby Bot' is only £1.95, perfect especially for children too!

I hope you have all enjoyed your weekend! Let me know what your favourite Lush products are in the comment section, or leave your blog link :)

My Week in Pictures

Well, I certainly can't complain about the week I have just had!
Here's my week in pictures :)

I've had a lovely relaxed week this week. I only had to be in the office on Monday (see bottom left photo for office boredom) and then had the rest of the week off!

This week I've noticed a few signs of spring arriving. I've had some great walks and runs out in the sun on cool crisp days and I've seen daffodils starting to sprout up all over the place.
Whilst in the garden yesterday I even heard the sound of someone mowing the lawn. Spring is on it's way, and with the clocks going forward at the end of the month, I cannot wait for it to well and truly arrive!

I've also enjoyed a few walks on the beach this week, with my three dogs and my mum which has been lovely to say the least. I'm really enjoying having less rain than we've been accustomed to recently!

I've had time to see friends and family, eat good food and above everything else...have a really good clear out of my bed room which was long over due!

What have you all been up to this week? Let me know :)

The TMI Tag

I recently saw Chloe from Chloe's Way do this tag and I really enjoyed her post so decided to do it myself. I've had a lazy day at home today, so the perfect chance to go through all 50 questions! Here's The TMI Tag.

Let's get in to it!

1. What are you wearing?
Right now I'm in Grey Jersey skinny joggers and a Forever 21 loose Vest top! It's a comfy home day!

2. Have you ever been in love?
Yes I would say twice. Once before and now with my current boyfriend of 2 1/2 years :)

3. Have you ever had a terrible break up?
I've had 2 break ups in the past and both were not without their dramas but amicable in the end. I think every break up comes with a little bit of 'terrible'.

4. How tall are you?
Tiny! I'm a titchy 5'2 and was often bullied in school for my height! As my mum always reminded me though 'the best things come in small packages' :).

5. How much do you weigh?
I don't often weigh myself to be honest as we don't have scales in the house! The last time I checked I was 7 stone and had been that weight for about 5 years so probably still the same.

6. Any tattoos?
Currently no. I have played with the idea sooooo many times but each time I end up not sure whether I want one or not, and hence come to the conclusion that if I'm not sure then it mustn't be the right time for one!

7. Any Piercings?
Zero! Never had them through school due to a very strict dress code and just never got round to having my ears done.

8. Your OTP (One true pairing)
Gosh I had to think of this one. I'd have to say either Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake as Jamie and Dylan in friends with benefits. Or going way back now Brody and Lauren in the Hills!

9. Your Favourite Show?
I don't actually watch television that often. Aside from the soaps I really enjoy Greys Anatomy and I'm a sucker for Catfish on MTV!

10. Favourite Band?
I'm more of a soloist fan my self, some of my favourites at the moment are Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, John Newman and Beyonce.

11. Something you miss?
Quite simply and without a doubt, my Grandparents.

12. Favourite Song?
At the moment it's 'Lay me down' by Sam Smith. He has a beautiful voice.

13. How old are you?
I'm 22 :)

14. What Zodiac sign are you?
I'm a Cancer

15. Qualities you look for in a partner?
Someone who can make me laugh. Easy to get a long with and someone who is accepting of my huge family too! Someone who has their own interests and hobbies and has both a tough and a soft side. Am I asking too much?

16. Favourite Quote?
I actually don't have a favourite I don't think.

17. Favourite Actor?
Has to be Will smith :)

18. Favourite colour?
I'm a pink person most definitely

19. Loud Music or Soft?
I think both have their time and place. But for most occasions...somewhere in the middle. Although occasionally in my car I'll have it loud!

20. Where do you go when you're sad?
My bed!

21. How long does it take you to shower?
I think I take longer to shower than the average person. I always make sure I have enough time as usually I'm in there a good 30 minutes!

22. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
I have my showers in the evening so the mornings aren't too much of a rush. I'd say at the most about an hour. I'm always pottering about doing other things in between getting ready.

23. Ever been in a physical fight?
No. I really dislike violence.

24. Turn on?
Most definitely scent. Someone who smells good (Y)

25. Turn off?
I like a little bit of confidence in the opposite sex, but too cocky...no thank you!

26. The reason you started blogging?
I didn't really have a hobby other than makeup and beauty and reading other blogs, watching youtube etc. None of my friends share this interest so I needed an outlet for it and also somewhere I could meet like minded people. Which is why I decided to start my blog :)

27. Fears?
I have a terrible phobia of being sick. Spiders too...cliche but a genuine fear.

28. Last thing that made you cry?
I'm an emotional person so I cry...a lot! I cried about 2 nights ago from being in pain (currently an ongoing struggle with my health).

29. Last time you said you loved someone?
Last night before I went to bed, on the phone to Joe!

30. Meaning behind your blog name?
Lauren and Zetta are my first and middle names. The 'Little' came in firstly because I'm so titchy and secondly I thought 'Little Lauren Zetta' rolled nicely off the tongue haha!

31. Last book you read?
'Vortex' by Julie Cross. She's a great author.

32. The book you're currently reading?
'Paper Towns' by John Green. Another great author. Love all his books!

33. The last show you watched?
Loose women haha. It's my day off and a bit of daytime tv always goes down a treat.

34. Last person you talked to?
My Dad. He came in my room about 5 minutes ago to ask if he could throw away my old Wellies :)

35. The relationship between you and the last person you texted?
My boyfriend.

36. Favourite food?
Gosh there's so many. Pizza, chocolate brownies...all the bad stuff hehe.

37. Place you want to visit?
I'd love to travel around America.

38. Last Place you were?
Around 3 hours ago I was at the garage picking up my now repaired car. Yay!

39. Do you have a crush?
My boyfriend :)

40. Last time you kissed someone?
The last time I saw my boyfriend which was at the weekend boooo :(

41. Last time you were insulted?
A few weeks ago while at work the girl I look after (I look after twins age 1 and a 3 year old) said to me 'why have you got some chicken pox on your face' haha does this count? Kids are too honest!

42. Favourite flavour of sweet?
I always eat the green ones first. Lime?

43. What instruments do you play?
None at this moment in time.

44. Favourite piece of Jewellery?
Either my diamond 18th birthday ring from my mum or my pearl Tiffany bracelet from Joe which he got me last year for Valentines :)

45. Last sport you played?
Does dancing count?

46. Last song that you sang?
'Money on my mind' by Sam Smith

47. Favourite chat up line?

Thank you!

Just a little thank you to the small number of you who read my blog!

It really does give me a little boost knowing people are reading it :)

I find myself smiling when I noticed a number of you have read a certain post or even left a comment and it makes it feel all worth while.

I really love reading all your blogs too!

So thank you again and please leave your links if I don't know of your blog already! :)

P.S Am I the only one who finds it rather ironic that blogger highlights the word 'Blog' as a spelling mistake :)

Blogs and Youtube channels I'm loving - February.

With another month comes another update on youtube channels and blogs I'm loving at the moment. My
last post seemed to go down well, and I did say I would make it a regular thing so here we go!
First up:
  • Mela Niie (Melanie)
I stumbled upon Melanie's channel on youtube a few weeks ago and immediately I could identify with her. She's a lovely Irish girl who is down to earth, and who just seems completely 'real' if that makes any sense! She does a mixture of beauty, health and haul type videos with a few vlogs thrown in for good measure. Check out her channel and be sure to subscribe here.

  • The Schuerman Show
Now, I'm not sure how well known the Schuermans are on youtube. I have watched them on youtube for years (since before they had their first baby) and still love them now. They are a family of 4. Jay and Sam and their two children Phoenix and Lily who are beautiful! Sam also has a beauty channel and a mummy channel too and regularly updates her blog and instagram! They're such a lovely, family orientated couple and I feel so relaxed watching their daily vlogs. I urge you to check them out, and if you're not in to daily vlogs check out Sam's beauty channel. Here's all their links! - Daily Vlogs, Mummy Channel and  Beauty Channel!

  • Chloes Way
I love this blog! If you're a girly girl like me and love everything, pink, fluffy and cute you will love this blog. It has everything including beauty posts, hauls, wishlists and little lifestyle posts which I adore. It's a new one to me and hopefully you will enjoy it too. You can read Chloe's blog here!

Just the three so far this month. Please though, send me links to any channels, blogs or tumblr accounts you are enjoying at the moment! I love to browse through them all!

A reminder of my links -
