WantFeed - First Impressions/Review

As you all know, if you have read my past posts about youtube channels that I love, you'll be aware that I'm kind of obsessed with a certain Hannah Maggs.

Not just her though. I love her channel, her vlogs, her family...everything.
Her weekly vlogs are absolutely stunning they really are amazing you should definitely check them out if you haven't already. You can find their channel here.

Anyway, on to The Wantfeed.

Hannah's husband Stefan has recently launched his new Social Wishlist Platform called 'Wantfeed'.

altea app store button

First off, what a great idea. I don't know about anyone else, but there will often be a time where I am browsing online and see something I want. If I can't afford to buy it at the time I usually will screen shot it, so that I don't forget about it once pay day comes around.

Trouble is, when pay day does arrive, I usually forget to look through my screen shots.

Wantfeed is a great way of storing all the things you really want in one place.

Do you ever get asked by friends or family 'What do you want for your Birthday or Christmas?'. I do! I usually follow it up with a 'oh anything, I'm not really fussy'. When actually there's usually a few things I could think of I'm just too shy to fess up!

With Wantfeed you can just send them your profile link and there's a ready made list.

You can literally put anything you like on there. You simply paste the URL of something you want and it will be instantly added to your Wantfeed. All you need to do is enter a few tiny details such as the title and the price.

The website is fresh and exciting and also really professional. It is SO simple to use and signing up is a doddle. You can follow all your friends on there and other people too. You'll never be stuck for something to get someone again as long as they're on Wantfeed.

At the moment it's just the beta version that's available but the real deal will be launching and up and running soon!

Over all I think Stefan has done a fantastic job on this website. 10/10!

I've added a few things to mine already. You can check out mine here

Leave me your links or let me know if you have checked it out yet!

Can you be happy for 100 days in a row?

I'm certainly going to try!

I've decided to take part in the #100HappyDays challenge over on my instagram account.
Simply a photo a day that made you happy!

I'm hoping it will make me appreciate each day that little bit more.

After all, no matter how bad of a day you have had and how many awful things may have happened, there will almost certainly have been something good too. Maybe you noticed a rainbow on the way home from work, or you saw an elderly couple walking together holding hands, or maybe, just maybe you had some ice cream!

I challenge you all to take part too! You can find my instagram account here!

My First Time TAG

I have seen this TAG on a lot of youtube channels but thought I'd do it myself on my blog :)
Let's get straight into it!

1. First Youtube video you ever watched?
    I honestly can't remember!

2. First person you subscribed to on YouTube?
The first person I subscribed to I think was SWalkermakeup or it could also have been Gemsmaquillage!

3. Do you still talk to your first love?
Yes on the odd occasion. If we passed in the street or saw each other on a night out then we would probably have a brief conversation. We wish each other Happy Birthday and those kinds of things!

4. First kiss?
Hmmm, first kiss that counted was when I was 13 at a high school party. Very awkward and embarrassing thinking back to it now!

5. First alcoholic drink?
I think this was also the first for most people around my WKD. Something I would never drink now haha!

6. Firstcar?
I'm still driving my first car. It's an 07 Fiat Grande Punto and it's blue like a little smurf!

7. First job?
My first job was when I was 14, teaching dance at the dance school I attended and also working in the schools shop.

8. First pet?
My first pet was a lovely dog called Murphy. He was a tan and white lurcher and the most loving dog.

9. First celebrity crush?
Oh heck, I think it was probably Leonardo Dicaprio. I remember having posters of him in my room. I also really loved Justin Timberlake in his Nysnc days haha.

10. First real boyfriend?
My first like, grown up, long term boyfriend was a guy called Tom. We'll say no more!

11. Who was the First person to text you today?
      My best friend Ruth :)

12. Who was your First grade teacher?
My reception teacher was a lovely lady called Mrs Rowe, she still works at the same school now, 18 years later.

13. Where was your First sleepover?
My best friend as a child was called Emma and I used to sleep over at her house lots. I think my first sleepover was probably at her house.

14. What was the First thing you did this morning?
      Checked very first world.

15. First concert you ever went to?

16. First broken bone?
I didn't break but fractured my coccyx quite badly when I was 15!
17. First movie you remember seeing?
       Fly away home.

18. First sport you were involved in?
      Always and only dancing!

19. First tweet?
       'Tweet Twoo' how awful haha.

20. First Facebook profile pic?

21. First piercing?
 I have zero piercings!

I tag you all to do this tag! Leave me your links below if you do, I'd love to read them! I also challenge all of you to look at the word 'First' when you have finished and see if it still looks right to you. Haha!

Asda Dry Shampoo Review

Hello lovely ladies (and men if you're reading)
I'm back with a quick review today.

Last week on the way home from my gym class, I stopped in at Asda as I needed some dry shampoo!
When it comes to dry shampoo I am very loyal to Batiste. I have tried all kinds of cheaper and more expensive alternatives but Batiste always comes out on top for me.

I noticed however, that Asda had brought out their own range, and If I'm honest it was the packaging that drew me in to begin with. .
I believe they released this a few months ago, possibly even in 2013, however my local Asda have only just begun to stock it.

So, how was it?
Well quite honestly I would describe it as being 'good'. Not brilliant but not awful. It smells lovely much nicer than the Batiste Tropical version in my opinion. It doesn't leave all the white marks in your hair like Batiste does which is a plus point.

It did seem to keep the greasy hair look at bay for a little while but to be honest I didn't think it lasted very well and by the end of the day my hair felt really heavy and gritty with it all.

I think for £1 a bottle you can't go wrong and it's a great buy for students and people on a very low budget. However for £2 extra I think I will definitely be sticking with my trusty Batiste!

Bank Holiday Fun in Blackpool!

I love Bank Holiday Monday's because they're one of the only days where my boyfriend and me are both off work.

Yesterday we decided to make the most of it and head to Blackpool to do all the typical tourist stuff you do while you're there. We walked along the beach, went down central pier, had Ice cream and spent our 2ps in Coral Island on the slot machines!

I LOVED it. I have this love/hate relationship with Blackpool. Parts of it are so awful but you can't help but really enjoy being there at the same time. I love all the retro shops and signs on the pier, the rows of stores all selling the same things (usually rock and cheap teddies), and let's not forget the tower and the Donkeys!

I hope you all enjoyed your Bank Holiday too!

Current Shower Favourites!

Ok, so the winter months have dwindled away along with evenings soaking in a bubble bath.

I thought I'd share three of my favourite shower products at the moment with you!

1. Soap&Glory Scrub of your life - I'm not usually a fan of body scrubs as even with moisturising they usually leave my skin really dry and worse than it was to begin with. I love this Soap&Glory one though. It feels really luxurious and even lathers really well in the shower. My skin feels so much softer after using this, even without a body butter. Although, I have to admit I usually pair it with the Soap&Glory Butter Yourself moisturising lotion.
2. Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo - A few weeks ago I picked this up in Asda without looking. I was rushing around and needed a new shampoo. I saw this on offer on the end of the aisle so decided to just throw it in my basket. This shampoo leaves my hair smelling amazing and I have also found that I'm going longer between hair washes after using this as my hair doesn't get greasy as quickly. I'm already on to my second bottle. A big thumbs up from me!

3.Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment - I have seen this product on a lot of blogs. I have always been quite sceptical as I have read mixed reviews about it. In my honest opinion, in the five weeks I have been using it I haven't notice my hair grow any more than usual. However, after using this my hair is sooooo soft and smells lovely with a lingering scent! It leaves the ends of my hair looking great so I figure it's at least doing some good by preventing the ends breaking off!

Dare I mention the W word?

Ok so, if you live in England (the north in particular) or you know someone who does. Then you probably know that our weather isn't all great.

It's pretty much always cold...except from maybe an odd day in the summer, and it's usually raining too.

I don't want to jinx this great weather we have been having but seriously...I need to acknowledge it!
This is rare. Especially in May, to have weather this beautiful and temperatures this warm!

I've been making the most of the heat and sunshine. Walks in the park, down by the river with the dogs. Wearing only a thin cardigan and sometimes even a 't shirt'(unheard of in Spring for me)!

Everyone make the most of it, because I don't think it will last!
